Natural Systems Utilities Receives Awards from the Division of Public Safety, State of New Jersey

Hillsborough, NJ (April, 2014):  Natural Systems Utilities is pleased to announce that they are the proud recipients of 4 awards from the NJ Governor’s Occupational Safety & Health Award Program.

Safety is no accident, and NSU and their employees take safety seriously.  Our Licensed Operators are highly trained technical experts in water and wastewater treatment, traveling on an average of approximately 50,000 miles a month to 60+ plant operations throughout New Jersey.  Each operator or “circuit rider” is responsible for an average of 4 to 5 plant locations, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining these plants within strict compliance with both Federal and State water quality standards.  NSU prides themselves on their safety training programs that ensure that each employee knows and understands their responsibilities in working safely both on and off the job.

The Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Awards Programs are based on the calendar year with Recognition and Group Awards presented to those with a yearly lost time incident rate of 3.0 or less.  NSU was recognized with the following awards at the 86th Annual Governor’s Occupational Safety & Health Awards Program event:

Citation of Merit Awards – The NSU Facility and NSU Operations divisions were each selected for this award.  The award is given to a company, facility, or department for working throughout the 2013 calendar year without a lost time work related injury or illness.

Commissioner’s Continued Excellence Awards – The NSU Construction and Engineering division in NJ were each selected for this award.  This award is given to a facility or department that has participated in the program for four or more consecutive calendar years without a lost time work related injury or illness.
