The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has awarded a Wastewater Treatment Facility Operational Award to fourteen facilities operated by Natural Systems Utilities (NSU).  These treatment facilities were recognized for maintaining outstanding permit compliance from September 2015 through September 2016. To be eligible, facilities were required to submit all monitoring reports to the MPCA, demonstrating compliance through their monitoring as well as employing staff certified by the MPCA in wastewater operations.

NSU accepted, on behalf of the facilities, fourteen Certificates of Commendation for the outstanding operation, maintenance, and management of those wastewater treatment systems.

The awards were presented at the 80th annual Wastewater Operations Conference. MPCA Commissioner John Linc Stine presented the certificates of recognition and praised the recipients for their persistent work and dedication to protecting Minnesota’s water quality.
